'Clarity On Transition'
Commenting on his departure from the company, Hommen said, “Although it is hard to leave Ahold Delhaize, the timely preparation and clarity on transition is particularly important in view of the macro-economic uncertainty in the coming years.”
The retail giant has named Peter Agnefjӓll as the new chairman of the supervisory board, effective 1 January 2021.
Until then, he will serve as vice-chairman of the board and work closely with Hommen to ensure a smooth transition, the company added.
