Ahold and Delhaize Group have announced the executive committee that will manage the combined entity once the merger of the two companies is complete. Ahold and Delhaize intend to complete their planned merger by the middle of 2016.
The committee, which will be responsible for the decision-making and day-to-day management of the new company, will be comprised of Marc Croonen (chief sustainability, transformation and communications officer), Hanneke Faber (chief e-commerce and innovation officer), Jan Ernst de Groot (chief legal officer) and Abbe Luersman (chief HR officer).
The four newly appointed members will report directly to CEO Dick Boer, who will oversee all major decisions.
As previously announced, the proposed Ahold Delhaize management board consists of Dick Boer (CEO), Frans Muller (deputy CEO and chief integration officer), Jeff Carr (CFO), James McCann (COO, USA) and Kevin Holt (COO, USA).
Ahold and Delhaize announced their decision to merge on 24 June this year.
