Jeff Carr, chief financial officer of retail group Ahold Delhaize, has been named as CFO of the Year 2017 in the Netherlands.
The prize was awarded by financial consulting firm Alex van Groningen BV, and was determined by a jury of industry experts.
Award Details
The award recognises CFOs who have 'had a significant impact on their company's performance and culture'. Carr was one of five finalists from a group of 15 candidates who were selected by the editors of CFO Magazine.
He was nominated for his 'commitment to growth, his support of digitalisation at Ahold Delhaize, and the confidence he and his financial strategy have earned from investors and inside the organisation'.
Recognition
"I'm delighted for the whole finance community at Ahold Delhaize," said Carr. "It's a great achievement for the team."
"To win this award is a recognition not so much of me but of the great work that's been done over this period," he said, referring to the recent merger of Ahold and Delhaize Group.
