Netherlands-based retail group Ahold Delhaize has announced the appointment of Johan Boeijenga as the new brand president of Super Indo, effective 1 April 2018.
Boeijenga joins the company from Dutch drugstore chain Kruidvat, where he has served as chief operating officer since 2014.
Before this, he worked in the supermarket business for over 20 years, holding several positions at Albert Heijn, Ahold and Jumbo, including CEO TOPS Royal Ahold in Indonesia from 2000 to 2003, and CEO of Ahold Central Europe, Czech Republic and Slovakia until 2009.
Indonesian Retail
Ahold Delhaize's Indonesian business, Super Indo, was established in 1997 through a partnership between Delhaize and local retail company the Salim Group.
Ahold Delhaize currently owns a 51% stake in the joint venture, which operates 141 supermarkets across Indonesia.
