Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has announced the appointment of two new senior managers, effective 1 January 2019.
Philip Padberg will take on the role of general manager of AH.nl - the retailer’s online business.
Padberg is an industry veteran, and previously held the position of managing director for Continental Europe at Deliveroo.
He will succeed Selma Postma, who was appointed as the brand president of Peapod in the US in November of this year.
Experienced Professional
Elsewhere, Rob Heesen will join the retail group as the general manager of its ‘on the go’ food service - AH to go.
Heesen is an experienced professional in the food retail industry, and served as a general manager in the Dutch company, Blokker. He also held commercial management positions at HEMA and Super de Boer.
He will replace Willem Dockheer, who is leaving Albert Heijn to pursue an external opportunity, the retailer said.
