Dutch retailer Albert Heijn plans to double the capacity of its home delivery operation, with the opening of two new Home Shop Centres (HSCs) in Oosterhout and Bleiswijk.
Both new HSC locations are spread across an area of 20,000 square metres, and will process some 40,000 orders per week.
The new locations, which will open at the end of this year, or early next year, will facilitate the business' growth in the Randstad and in the eastern Netherlands, Albert Heijn said.
The sites following the opening of a separate HSC in Amsterdam last November.
Albert Heijn plans to employ 1,000 workers at each of the locations.
