Albert Heijn Names New Human Resources Director

Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has announced the appointment of Suzanne Jungjohann to its management team as its new human resources director, effective 1 October 2019.

Jungjohann is an experienced professional with extensive expertise in human resources in various national and international roles at Randstad and Tempo-Team, the retailer said.

In 2017, she was named the head of human resources of Nationale-Nederlanden.

Prior to that, she worked at Delta Lloyd and served as a consultant in PwC and Towers Perrin.

'Specific Expertise'

Commenting on the appointment, Albert Heijn CEO, Marit van Egmond, said, "In addition to her broad experience in HR, she has specific expertise in the field of change management and talent development, with which she can make an important contribution to the growth of our people and teams."

Jungjohann will succeed Nic Brassey, who took on the role in 2015.

Since January of this year, he also assumed the role of chief human resources officer of Ahold Delhaize Europe and Indonesia.

With Jungjohann taking over as the human resources director, Brassey will focus entirely on his new role from October, the company said.
