Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has announced that it will commence selling Google’s smart speakers - Google Home and Google Home Mini - in its stores from 24 October.
The move makes it the only food retailer in the country to sell Google Home Mini.
A Shopping Assistant
Both speakers will be equipped with the Dutch Google Assistant service, and will help customers in updating their shopping lists in the Appie app by providing the latest information about products and offers.
The portable device will also double up as a handy cooking aid, offering suggestions about recipes and ingredients.
In July of this year, Albert Heijn introduced its voice-enabled, Dutch-speaking Google assistant aided app - Appie.
