German discount retailers Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd have announced that they are launching gift cards that will be redeemable in all Aldi stores in the country.
The two supermarket chains say that the initiative, which was launched in response to consumer demand, will allow Aldi Nord gift cards to be used when shopping in Aldi Süd, and vice versa.
"We want our customers to be able to redeem the gift cards with particular ease," said Dominik Remy, head of sales promotion and customer service at Aldi Nord.
"That's why the cards are valid in all Aldi stores throughout Germany."

Meanwhile, at Aldi Nord, customers can choose between €10, €20, €50 and €100 cards.
The new cards will be available in Aldi stores across Germany from mid-November.
