German food retailer Aldi has launched a new 'well-being portal' online.
The portal supports a holistic approach to well-being, with equal emphasis on body and mind. It provides information and tips on physical exercise, nutrition and matters of the mind. Experts to give advice - through articles and videos - include a Personal Trainer, a Sports Coach, a Motivational Coach, a Health Coach and a Nutritionist.
The portal aims to be user-friendly. Visitors can register for free and set a personal goal or target, such as toning, relaxation, healthy eating or weight loss.
A questionnaire helps to match their level of fitness and their objectives with recommendations from various experts. Quarterly feedback forms are used to discuss results and adjust targets, or set new goals.
"As a food retailer, we have a particular responsibility for the health of our customers. In addition to enabling a balanced diet, we want to support our customers in taking their well-being into account", said Sandra Sibylle Schoofs - Head of Marketing at Aldi Süd.
