Aldi Netherlands has appointed Jan Oostvogels as the new chief executive of Aldi Holding, according to a report in distrifood.nl.
Oostvogels joined Aldi in 2000 and held several leadership roles in the organisation.
He has served as the managing director of business support and development at Aldi Einkauf GmbH & Co. oHG in Essen in Germany, and managing director of Aldi SA in Vaux-sur-Sure in Belgium.
He will succeed Christian Fleck, who was named the director of Aldi Holding in the end of 2018.
Aldi operates approximately 500 branches in the Netherlands that are managed from nine regions, the report added.
