German discount retailers Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd have launched their new Christmas TV ad campaign under the slogan ‘Jeden Tag besonders – einfach Aldi’ (every day is special – simply Aldi).
The ads are a combination of one image spot and a number of advertisements on German TV. This week, the image spot will run for 45 seconds and then shorten to 30 seconds afterwards. It's also available on Youtube for German viewers.
The campaign shows people of all ages opening a fridge to get their favourite products – be it a grandmother going for the Christmas goose, the children for the chocolate cake, or the couple reaching for a bottle of Aldi champagne.
Diverse Customers
Additionally, eight different 10-second Aldi adverts will be shown every week until Christmas, with the first spot focusing on the retailer's Ice-Cinnamon Stars.
"Our customers are diverse: Whether young or old, families, singles or couples - all visit our stores daily and value our high quality. With our Christmas campaign, we underline this and showcase our variety at an Aldi price," said Jennifer Kubanek, head of campaign advertising at Aldi Nord.
"At Aldi, our customers receive delicious and high-quality products at the usual low Aldi price. We are now reinforcing this message for our customers over the Christmas season,” said Sandra Sibylle Schoofs, head of marketing at Aldi Süd.
