Aldi Nord has announced that its sustainability report won in the 'Best First Time Report' category at the international Corporate Responsibility Report Awards (CRRA) 2017.
According to the voting verdict, the German retailer submitted an ”excellent first sustainability report. With a detailed description of its stakeholder commitment and a clear focus on the essentials, Aldi Nord has managed to bundle all the important elements of a successful report.”
Sustainability Progress
Rayk Mende, CEO of corporate responsibility at Aldi Nord, commented on the award. “We are very pleased with the award, which confirms that we are on the right track in terms of sustainability. It is our goal to make our responsible actions transparent and public."
"With the progress documentation, we want to show that we continue to stick to our commitment."
The award was decided by a total of 50,000 registered users representing a global audience, consisting of stakeholders, NGOs, corporate responsibility organisations, government agencies, and journalists.
