Aldi Reisen, a tourism service jointly operated by Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd in Germany, marks its tenth anniversary on 5 January next.
Aldi Reisen started in January 2007 by offering a limited range of five trips per month, however the service has now grown to feature a 40 page travel brochure packed with offers.
Demand was high from the very start, however, as Aldi Reisen recorded 7,500 bookings in its first month.
"Customers should be able to rely on getting offers at an excellent price-performance ratio," an Aldi Nord spokesperson said. "We place a high value on quality."
In 2011, the service announced a cooperation agreement with Center Parcs, while in 2013, it offered packages including Bundesliga games for the first time.
Currently, four tour operators have agreements with Aldi Reisen.
