Aldi Süd has announced two new partnerships with schools in Dormagen, Germany, which aim to promote career options in the retail sector for the upcoming generation of students.
The new schools in partnership with Aldi are the Archbishop's Vocational College in Marienhaus and the Centre For Vocational Training in Dormagen.
The existing school partnerships, which concluded this year, will be extended for a further year.
The alliance with Aldi will provide students with an opportunity to visit or work in an Aldi branch for a day, avail of specific retail and job application training, and possibly apply for internships.
"It is an honour to see nine schools working together with us," said Markus Renner, regional sales manager at Aldi Dormagen. "The positive feedback from the students makes it clear that their experiences with us can serve as an ideal framework for their professional orientation.”
Aldi Dormagen is one of Aldi Süd’s 31 regional companies. It has a total of 64 branches, with a workforce of 1,500 employees and more than 190 trainees.
