Amazon and Whole Foods Market have extended the free two-hour delivery of natural and organic products from Whole Foods Market through Prime Now to Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and Richmond.
Effective immediately, Prime members in those cities can shop through Prime Now for bestselling items including fresh produce, meat and seafood, everyday staples and other locally sourced items from Whole Foods Market.
Select alcohol products are also available for delivery to customers in Richmond. Prime members receive two-hour delivery for free and ultra-fast delivery within one hour for $7.99 on orders of $35 or more.
Expanding Access
“We’ve been delighted with the customer response to free two-hour delivery through Prime Now, and we’re excited to bring the service to our customers in Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and Richmond,” said Christina Minardi, Whole Foods Market executive vice president of operations.
“Today’s announcement is another way that we are continuing to expand access to our high-quality products and locally-sourced favourites.”
The delivery service launched earlier this year and plans to expand across the US throughout 2018. San Francisco was the most recent city to be added to the list of cities with the delivery service, which now equals 14. The service is available daily from 8 am to 10 pm.
