Auchan has launched its new click-and-collect app, which it describes as “simple, fast, fluid and intuitive,” on the Windows Phone, lsa-conso.fr reports.
The service allows its users to purchase from a selection of 8,000 products, and employs 100 click-and-collect points across France.
The new app, which is available for free on Windows Phones, allows shoppers to scan the barcodes of products they already have in their home to speed up the process of smartphone-shopping.
Auchan Drive’s mobile development specialist, Jérémie Cohen, said, “Customers of ours who are equipped with a Windows Phone and using the Auchan Drive app are increasing in number.
“One of the ambitions of Auchan Drive is to allow its customers to buy their groceries in a way that it best-suited to them. Purchases conducted through our m-commerce channel have doubled over the course of 2015."
“It is therefore natural that we decided to take the step to link the service to the Windows Phone, and to further stimulate the grow of our m-commerce division.”
