Auchan has opened its inaugural hypermarket in Tajikistan, Reuters reports.
The news of the event was announced to the media by the communication staff of Imomali Rakhmon, president of the Asian country.
The outlet is in the nation’s capital, Dushanbe, and has been constructed in conjunction with Auchan’s partner Schiever. It is located in a $13-milion shopping centre complex.
News of the Tajik opening follows that of Auchan’s Russian expansion into Krasnoyarsk.
