French organic retailer JusteBio has announced that its products are to go on sale in Auchan hypermarkets in Portugal.
JusteBio has been present in Portugal since 2018, operating its own flagship store in Lisbon, at which it offers more than 140 product references (including dried fruit, breakfast cereals, granola and organic gum) in bulk, served from dispensers.
Hypermarket Rollout
As part of its agreement with Auchan, special JusteBio 'islands' have been installed in 16 hypermarkets, including sites in Alfragide, Almada, Alverca, Amadora and Setúbal.
The plan is to expand the islands to all 33 Auchan hypermarkets by the end of the year.
Sales Target
According to António Mello de Sá, CEO of Pisabell, the brand that represents and distributes JusteBio in Portugal, the plan is to sell 57 to 60 tonnes of organic products through the concessions by the end of 2019.
In Portugal, the company is targeting €1 million in sales for 2019, growing to €3 million by 2020.
With a presence in 3,500 stores in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, JusteBio has seen a 300% growth in the last three years, reaching a turnover of €49 million in 2018.
