French retailer Auchan has announced three new appointments to its executive committee, with senior positions in Russia and China.
Wilhem Hunber, CEO of Auchan Retail, says that the company has decided to 'add some younger faces' to the committee, and 'give it a more international dimension'.
New Appointments
François Remy has been appointed as executive chairman of Auchan Retail Russia, replacing Jean-Pierre Germain who recently retired. Remy has worked with the company for almost 30 years in France, Luxembourg, Romania, and Russia.
Ludovic Holinier will be assuming the role of executive chairman of Auchan Retail China and non-executive chairman of RT Mart Taiwan, as well as CEO and director of Auchan's Chinese subsidiary Sunart. Holinier has worked for the company since 1991, holding senior positions in Luxembourg, USA, Russia, and Vietnam.
Finally, Oleg Alkhamov has been appointed chief performance officer of Auchan Retail, replacing Ludovic Holinier. Alkhamov was an accountant with Energoremont and D'Aucy, before joining Auchan Russia in 2008.
