Auchan Retail Spain Recieves 'Reina Letizia' Award

Auchan Retail Spain has received the 'Reina Letizia' award, for its work integrating disabled people into its business.

As part of its corporate social responsibility policies, Auchan Retail Spain implements quantitative and qualitative measures to promote the employment of disabled people into its operations.

The business currently employs 429 disabled people, which equates to 3.55% of the workforce. 58% of these people are women, 39% are older than 45 and 7% have a disability rate over 65%.

Auchan Retail Spain has also implemented procedures such as labeling own-brand products in Braille, introducing a fully-accessible website for visually impaired people, and making purchases from Special Centres for Employment, in which more than 70% of staff are disabled persons.
