Auchan has confirmed its second outlet in Luxembourg as a 5,000-square-metre hypermarket in Differdange, lineaires.com reports.
The new store, which will push fresh produce and lunchtime foods, will be located in the commercial centre of Opkorn. It will stock about 40,000 different products.
This will be the second hypermarket to trade in Luxembourg – its first, located in Kirchberg, has been in operation since 1996. Auchan has also made preliminary plans to open a third store in the country, which will be constructed in la Cloche d’Or, and span 12,500 square metres.
The Differdange hypermarket will open in the fall of 2017.
