The Basque Culinary Center (BCC) has been tasked with testing the quality of Eroski's gourmet products in Spain, the retailer has announced.
The products will be tasted by food sensory analysis experts, teachers from the Gastronomic Sciences Faculty and guest chefs.
Some of the criteria on which Eroski's 'Seleqtia' brand will be tested are: texture, flavour, smell, appearance, ingredients and food processing, according to Joxe Mari Aizega, General Director of BCC.
Once the process is complete, the tested food will bear the BCC's stamp as a seal of approval. Currently, Eroski's gourmet brand offers a range of 170 products.
