Belgian Icecream Group, the parent of IJsboerke ice cream, has named Floris Brockmeier as its new CEO, according to a report in mbs.news.
Brockmeier will succeed Fons Walder, who took over the company three years ago.
Walder will continue to serve as the chairman of the company and the CEO of Belgian confectionery company Baronie, the report added.
Apart from the IJsboerke brand, Belgian Icecream Group produces private-label ice creams for supermarkets in Belgium.
Brockmeier, the son-in-law of Fons Walder, has served as the operational director of the Belgian Icecream Group for several years.
He founded the Kieteman Foundation in 2015 together with his wife, Vivien Walder, in memory of their son.
The foundation helps vulnerable children and offers, among other things, financial support for sports and music lessons for underprivileged children.
