Bonduelle Food Service’s research and development department has teamed up with the Journées d’Études de l’Association Française des Diététiciens Nutritionnistes (AFDN), to examine ways in which food products can be made more accessible to those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, as well as to OAPs generally.
Bonduelle is examining ways that food products can be made more accessible and simpler to use for senior citizens.
The food producer announced the move following findings by France’s L’Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR) that food is a highly prominent preoccupation for the elderly, with 76.8 per cent stating that this is the case.
The survey found food to be a more pressing concern for the demographic than health (66.2 per cent) and technology (51.5 per cent).
