A Spar store in the Mammut shopping centre in Budapest has won the best 'large-size supermarket' at the Store of the Year Awards 2016 in Hungary.
The 2000 square-metre store was presented with the award after a jury assessed the store’s service standards, the functionality of the retail space, the implementation of environmentally-conscious solutions, as well as the store aesthetics.
The supermarket was re-opened in August 2014 after a major refurbishment. The new store was designed to be a product-centred retail space that guides shoppers in a customer-friendly way, while satisfying the latest energy-efficiency demands.
The jury for the award consisted of of FMCG and marketing professionals from the Hungarian retail sector.
