Carrefour's CEO George Plassat has said that the recent terrorist atrocities in Paris only caused a negligible slump in the multinational's Paris hypermarkets' sales, and that it is on target to meet its annual sales expectations, Reuters reports.
In spite of the turbulence during November, Carrefour’s figures for the month were “good”, Plassat affirmed. He also said that the Carrefour group’s sales improved on a like-for-like basis during the third quarter, which is attributable to strong performances in the south of Europe, Brazil and France.
"For the whole of November business was good and the end of the year will be as it should be for the group," Plassat stated.
