A new Carrefour Express store has been unveiled in a Paris Lecourbe BP service station, in an opening which marks 20 years of collaboration between the supermarket chain and European Forecourt Retail (EFR).
EFR has facilitated urban-size Carrefour stores in high-people-density areas since 1996, which began when such an operation was opened in a Nice petrol station.
The new 123-square-metre store, located in the 15th arrondissement of the French capital, “stocks a wide range of some 2,900 Carrefour and national brand daily-use products,” a Carrefour press release said.
“These include grocery products, fruit and vegetables, ready-to-cook/eat products, snacks and home maintenance products. Open 24 hours a day, this new store will help to stimulate the local economy.”
