Most recently, he served as the executive director of the company’s Spanish unit.
Baitieh, who has worked at the retail group for 25 years, played an important role in the company’s performance in Taiwan, Argentina and Spain, Carrefour said.
In his new role, Baitieh will be responsible for leading the second stage of Carrefour France’s transformation plan with a special focus on the economic crisis due to the pandemic.
The retailer has completed the first stage of its transformation plan under the leadership of Pascal Clouzard, Carrefour added.
