Carrefour Italia has introduced personalised coupons for customers with the goal of increasing revenue and boosting customer loyalty.
The retailer has already started the installation of “Coupon Printers”, developed by shopping analysis firm Catalina, that monitor the purchasing patterns of consumers in order to develop customised promotions.
The promotional offers are issued when the customer passes the till and they are redeemable during the subsequent visit and expenditure in the same store.
Carrefour Italia plans to install 65 “Coupon Printers” in its supermarkets and hypermarkets by the end of 2015, before extending the novelty to its entire store network throughout 2016.
