Carrefour Italia has implemented the Gourmet Market format for its Piazza Principessa Clotilde store in Milan, while at the same time expanding the product offering.
The 600 m2 store, located in the Porto Nuova area of the city, was the first to launch the 24/24 model. It has now installed a meat counter and, from the end of September, also a sushi department, and has also introduced high quality traditional Italian gastronomic products as well as those typical of the Lombardy region.
The product selection features quality wines and craft beers, meat from the Tuscany and Piedmont regions, fresh fish, bio fruit & vegetable products, home and body care products, and pet products. There is also a laundry and Click & Collect service and the store accepts all kinds of food stamps.
The new store format features a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere where everything is studied, from the lights to the colors, in order to make the shopping experience for customers more enjoyable.
The first Carrefour Gourmet in Italy was opened in Milan, at Piazza Gramsci, followed in the city by the sales points in Via Gustavo Modena and Piazzale Siena, the latter being the first Carrefour Gourmet 24/24.
