Carrefour has announced the opening of its 88th store in Taiwan, which the retailer says is its most modern to date.
The 6,855 square metre store utilises LED lights and various eco-friendly materials to save 25% of electricity, in what the retailer describes as a 'green building'.
In addition, rainwater is collected by a water recycling system and then used for cleaning and gardening.
Another modern aspect of the new store is a 3D virtual fitting rom in the textile area, where users can 'try on' different looks within seconds.
