French retailer Carrefour has opened new Market Gourmet outlets in Rome and Milan, as well as its first in Turin.
The first three supermarkets, which are targeted at lovers of good food and convenience, were opened last year in Milan, Ventimiglia and Rome.
The new shop in Milan, located in Piazzale Siena (Bande Nere district), has over 1,000 square meters of space and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The second store in Rome has about 800 square meters and is located in the Parioli district, while Turin's first store is located in Via Cristoforo Colombo.
The Market Gourmet presents itself as an innovative supermarket, in a relaxed and pleasant environment in which great attention has been paid to detail, with a selection of Italian excellence in food, aimed at attracting "food lovers" for the taste, convenience and comfort of a neighborhood supermarket.
The products on offer include the first fruits of the season in the fruit and vegetables section, fresh products, traditional Italian specialties at the butcher's shelf, over 400 meats and cheeses, a cellar full of wine plus a wide range of premium brands and Carrefour private label products.
Carrefour Italia plans to continue expanding the Market Gourmet concept during the course of 2015.
