Carrefour Polska has announced that it has opened ten new franchise stores in the country in the first two months of the year, including four convenience stores in Warsaw.
Convenience stores are witnessing a growth in the Polish market as customers are looking for high-quality products and faster shopping experience.
The retailer collaborates with small and medium-sized Polish entrepreneurs to launch small-format, convenience stores.
In 2019, Carrefour opened more than 100 new stores across the country.
Carrefour Polska operates convenience stores in three formats - Carrefour Express Convenience, Carrefour Express Minimarket, and Globi.
Carrefour Express Convenience format comprises self-service stores that cater to the needs of consumers in fast-paced cities, while the Carrefour Express Minimarket banner operates modern neighbourhood mini supermarkets that offer traditional meat and sausages, fresh produce, as well as premium products.
The retailer also operates Globi convenience stores in smaller towns and rural areas.
