Carrefour Romania has opened three new supermarkets under its 'Market' store format in Arad, Valea Călugărească and Slatina.
The Carrefour Market Arad Adora is the French retailer’s sixth supermarket in the city of Arad, and has an area of 848 square metres.
Meanwhile, the store in Valea Călugărească (Prahova county) is Carrefour’s first in the region and features a sales area of 640 square metres, and the new Carrefour Market Slatina Steaua extends over 745 square metres.
Store Features
All of the new Carrefour stores feature around 7,000 SKUs, including over 1,000 private label SKUs, which the retailer says are at least 20% cheaper than national brands.
Consumers can find a wide assortment of dairy products, meat, groceries, bakery products, fruit and vegetables, drinks, organic and dietary ranges, fresh fish, as well as non-food hygiene and housekeeping products.
Carrefour Romania says that its Carrefour Market store concept offers fast service, with fresh, quality produce.
In Romania, Carrefour Group operates 308 stores, including 32 Carrefour hypermarkets, 223 supermarkets (207 Market and 16 Express Orange stores), 42 Express proximity stores, 10 Contact proximity stores, and an online store).
