Carrefour Romania has reported sales of €1.5 billion, up 8.3% at constant exchange rates, in the first nine months of the year, according to a report in the Romania Insider.
Like-for-like sales for the same period increased by 4.8%.
A Boost In Sales
For the first time, the French retailer’s sales in Romania have surpassed those of Poland, which posted sales of €1.49 billion in the first nine months of the year.
In the third quarter of its financial year, the retail giant’s sales in Romania amounted to €534 million, up 7.6% at constant exchange rates. The like-for-like sales increased by 4%.
At group level, Carrefour’s like-for-like sales in the third quarter of 2018 were up 2.1%, amounting to €21 billion, as against the same period in 2017.
