Carrefour Romania will modernise and expand one of ‘the most successful commercial centres' in its portfolio in order to augment its already considerable footfall.
Carrefour Romania and Property Division, its real estate manager in the country, announced the expansion project in a co-held press conference on 8 February. The companies described the 45,000 square-metre Carrefour commercial centre which houses the hypermarket as a favourite shopping destination for locals and tourists alike.
‘The upgrading and the extension of Carrefour Brasov [is] aimed to create a more attractive and modern ambience inside and outside the Commercial Centre and to enrich clients’ shopping experience through a more accessible, innovative and diversified range of services and stores,’ the French company stated.
The gallery’s shopping space was tripled to 6,000 square metres, large enough to accommodate 40 stores, in addition to the 8,000 square metre hypermarket’s offer.
Carrefour Romania says that this revamp is one element of a broader strategy to ‘upgrade the properties in its portfolio, creating an attractive and modern shopping destination, while facilitating the progress as well.’
