Carrefour Spain has launched the second edition of its Innovation Awards, which are designed to recognise efforts in research and development.
The awards kick off with a public vote, in which Carrefour expects a record level of participation, after more than 50,000 votes were cast last year.
The retailer has released a leaflet showcasing the products eligible for the awards, and the public can also visit www.premiosalainnovacion.es to vote for the most original launches of the year.
The Carrefour Spain Innovation Awards feature 12 categories that cover everything from breakfast foods and fresh produce, to cosmetics and pet care.
Overall, 15 prizes will be awarded, with 12 category winners and three chosen by the public as the most innovative products for the over-65s, large families, or young people under 30.
Carrefour Spain will host the awards ceremony on 22 June at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid.
