Thierry Cotillard is to replace Philippe Manzoni as the head of Intermarché.
Cotillard, who has been director of the retailer’s food division since 2012, will formally begin in his new position on 28 April. His predecessor Manzoni has described him as “young, motivated, and robust.”
Speaking of his entrance into the Intermarché corporation, Cotillard said “After my studies I had to choose between working with Auchan in Shanghai, and Intermarché in Italy. I chose Intermarché.”
Sales in Europe for Intermarché were €32.5 billion for 2014. In France, the 1,832 Intermarché points of sale recorded a growth of 1.7 per cent in their turnover for the year.
