Chinese Investing In French Powdered Milk

Chinese investors have begun making powdered milk in France.

A report published by francetv.fr shows that Chinese business people are pouring capital into the French countryside for the production of factories intended to make powdered milk.

The company in question, Synutra, intends to utilise the first facility to turn into powder about a million litres of milk per day.

Xisen Mu, director of the operation, said "In this [the first] factory, we intend to make powdered milk for Chinese babies. We have invested in France because the country guarantees us milk in the right quantities and of the right quality, which will allow us to guarantee the health and safety of children.

François Musellec, the director of the Finistère factory, stated "We will recruit personnel from the region to operate the new plant."
