Belgium's Colruyt Group has announced the launch of a new store in Beernem in the West Flanders province.
The low-energy store, spread across an area of 1,536 square-metres, is equipped with modern insulation and ventilation facilities.
Product Range
The store offers a wide range of products including private-labels and national brands.
It has a butcher's department with an open workshop to enable customers to choose from a wide range of options.
Head butcher, Erwin Treve, commented, "Customers can see the butchers at work in an open workshop and talk to them if they have questions or special order. They also have a nice overview of the range of meat, cold cuts, and salads.”
Grocery Pick-Up Service
The new store also offers a 'Collect&Go' service for delivering online orders.
Store manager, Philip Decleir, said, "They [customers] send their shopping list to collectandgo.be or via the app, and the Collect&Go employees have their products ready at the pick-up point on the day and time of their choice.”
