Italian supermarket chain Conad has opened a new store in Perugia, reports PerugiaToday.
The new supermarket, located in Via Settevalli, has a sales area of 1,500 square meters, a car park with 150 parking spaces and employs 40 staff.
The Perugia store allocates wide space to fresh produce, and also includes butchery, fruit and vegetables, fishmonger, bakery and pastry sections.
Like all new Conad stores, the outlet is equipped with energy-saving technologies, including solar panels on the roof. Furthermore, Conad has respected the modern urban planning standards.
New Leader Price
Elsewhere, French discount chain Leader Price is to open a new store in Treviglio (Bergamo), reports Giornale di Treviglio.
The new outlet, located on via XX Settembre, is the sixth Leader Price store in Italy.
As well as focus on all the usual grocery categories, the store features a wide range of organic and premium products, as well as a wellness area.
All six Leader Price outlets are located in the Lombardy region, in Como, Borgostallo (Brescia), Voghera (Pavia), Vaprio d'Adda (Milan), Paratico (Brescia) and Treviglio (Bergamo).
Leader Price Italia was born a few years ago from the agreement between the Italian Crai group and the French discount chain Leader Price.
