Consumers across Europe would like to see more quality labels, in order to assist them with their purchases, according to the latest consumption barometer by Consors Finanz.
Furthermore, three of four consumers would like to see a unified, pan-European quality label.
Quality labels have a high reputation and a significant influence on consumer behaviour, the study says.
'Customer Loyalty'
"Expanding quality labels can be a way to boost customer loyalty", commented Dr Anja Wenk, Deputy CEO B2B of Consors Finanz.
The study also found that consumers are sometimes confused because of the overwhelming number of quality labels in the marketplace, while they are also more inclined to trust and appreciate local products.
