Portuguese hypermarket chain Continente and national oil company Galp Energia have strenghted their existing partnership by merging their loyalty programs.
As a result, the benefits of Galp Energia's cartãofast will now be available on the Continente Card, the largest discount card initiative in Portugal.
Fuel purchases at Galp Energia petrol stations now contribute to the accumulation of balance on the Continente Card, by offering €5 for every €500 of fuel purchases.
Consumers will still benefit from the existing discounts that can reach €0.12 per litre, while money accumulated on the Continente Card can be used to purchase fuel, up to a maximum of €50.
The Continente Card is present in over 90 per cent of the brand's sales and is used by over 3.4 million Portuguese households that have accumulated about €2 billion in discounts since 2007.
