Portuguese retailer Continente has partnered with TimeResQ, a service provider for the hospitality and vacation rental industry, to deliver groceries to tourists.
The service aims to help 'just-landed' visitors, allowing them to order grocery products online in advance, with door-to-door delivery.
"Today, tourists want to live as residents, enjoy their stay and do what the locals do," said Jeremy Bryant, CEO of TimeResQ. "This partnership marks an exciting turnaround in the hotel and hotel industry because it allows travellers to have a food delivery service on arrival - it means bringing the best of Portugal to the front door."
Strategic Partnership
Tourists can receive information about the Continente-TimeResQ partnership from the host of the house where they will be staying. Hosts will also receive €2 commission on every order made with Continente.
TimeResQ already serves hundreds of local accommodation providers in Portugal and plans to continue expanding its network of partners in the country.
