Portuguese retail group Sonae has invested €5 million in a new Continente Bom Dia supermarket in Camaxide, near Oeiras.
The retailer said that this is the 49th Continente store in the greater Lisbon area. It has an area of 1,460 square metres and features a bakery, butcher counter, fishmonger, and fruit and vegetable area.
Recheio Expansion
Meanwhile, rival retailer Jerónimo Martins has opened the 40th store under its Cash & Carry banner Recheio in Via Nova de Gaia. This is the third Recheio store in the Greater Porto area.
With a sales area of 1,800 square metres, this store is strategically located in the proximity of restaurants, cafes and bars of the Cais de Gaia.
