Coop Denmark has announced the appointment of Jan Adolfsen as its new food director.
Adolfsen is a seasoned professional who has been associated with the company for more than 25 years.
Most recently, he served as a project director in the retail group.
Between 2011 - 2019, he held the position of director of Coop non-food.
'More Local Goods'
Commenting on the company’s strategy after the pandemic, Adolfsen, said, “Coop stands, like the rest of Denmark, looking to the right and left to find out which way we should go after coronavirus.
“But all studies indicate that the Danes want more Danish and more local goods, so that becomes one point.”
Adolfsen will replace Amelie de Geer, who has joined the Swedish grocery retailer Bergendahls Food.
