Coop Italia has reopened one of its stores located in Portomaggiore, near Ferrara, after a €2.2 million investment in restructuring and enlargement work, according to Gdoweek.
The store is spread over an area of 2,500 square metres, and employs 65 staff.
In particular, the 'Coop Salute' pharmacy area has been enlarged in order to satisfy customers' health needs, with a choice of 2,000 different products.
Store Features
The store features a meat counter, fishmongers, and a bakery, offering Italian delicacies such as cappellacci, salamina and coppia ferrarese. There is also a large wine cellar with a focus on local produce and artisanal beers.
Additionally, each department is equipped with take away packaging for quick purchases.
In terms of sustainability, the supermarket has installed solar panels in order to reduces its environmental impact.
