Coop's newspaper Coopzeitung has retained its position as the most widely read newspaper in Switzerland, according to the latest figures from Swiss press monitoring agency MACH Basic.
The paper has a total of 2,754,000 weekly readers domestically.
The three divisions of Coop's press - Coopzeitung, Coopération and Cooperazione - have a total weekly readership of 3,610,000, up 7.2% on last year's total.
"The result of the study shows that we were able to increase the attractiveness of our newspaper to our readers. We offer a newspaper with both a high utility value as well as very attractive web platform," director of Coop Press Patrick Wehrli said.
