Coop Sweden has announced the appointment of Björn Carlsson Kinning as its new chief financial officer.
He is an experienced professional who has held several top positions within the company including, among others, that of the CFO of Coop Marknad AB and Coop Butiker & Stormarknader AB.
He also served as the regional manager and district manager in Coop Butiker & Stormarknader AB.
'Solid Experience'
Commenting on his appointment, CEO of Coop Sweden Magnus Johansson said, ”He [Kinning] has a long and solid experience within Coop.
"I look forward to working with Björn and the rest of the company management to continue to run and develop Coop, our exciting digital initiatives and our unique sustainability work such as the launch of the sustainability declaration.”
Kinning assumed the new position on 19 August and succeeds Lars Granlöf, who stepped down from the position to explore an opportunity outside Coop.
